Day 1:
The flight is approximately 16 to 18 hours from any given city in America to Beijing.

On your flight to China, flight attendants will give you a customs form and entry form to fill out on the plane. This is a very simple document. You will need no preparation. Upon arrival, you will wait in line to enter and you will be required to show your passport and entry form. Next, you will reach the luggage claim area. The customs officer will generally let you go through without checking your luggage, but occasionally they do stop and request to check luggage.

The National Guide will wait for you in the lobby with a red “China Adoption With Love” flag. The guide will introduce her/himself and will count the number of parents and luggage. Luggage will be delivered to the hotel in a separate vehicle. The parents will be led by the guide to a chartered bus headed for the hotel. On the bus, the guide will explain the plan for the second day. At the hotel, the guide will collect your passports for group check-in. Using passports to check in is standard practice in China. You should go to your room and wait for your luggage after you get your key and breakfast coupon from the guide. The guide will return your passports to you the next morning.

Day 2:
Breakfast is always American and Chinese buffet and will usually begin around 6:00 a.m. The group will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby to leave for the Tian An Men Square and Forbidden City tour. Lunch will be together. In the afternoon they group will go on the Hu Tong tour; or tour of the narrow streets/alleys formed by the court yards of the Chinese residence in old Beijing city neighborhoods. Dinner is at the famous Beijing Duck Restaurant.

Day 3:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Around 8:30 the group will depart for the Great Wall. After about an hour on the bus, you will stop at an artwork factory for about 30 minutes to use bathrooms and do some shopping. It takes another half an hour to reach the Great Wall. Gondola life will be arranged for families to get to the top of the wall. The guide will set a time for the group to meet at the bus. You will spend about 2 hours at the Great Wall. After the Great Wall, the bus will drive 20 minutes to a restaurant for lunch. The bus will leave the store around 2:00 p.m. for Summer Palace and Kunming Lake. There will be a Boat Tour on the lake. Dinner will be as a group. In the evening you will attend the famous Beijing Acrobats show. The guide will inform parents of the plan for the next day.

Day 4:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Visit the Gao Bei Dian Village in the morning; visit an elementary school and local family. You will have lunch with the family. Visit paper-cut workshops and practice paper-cut. Dinner. *Take Train z19, soft bed compartment, 9:24 p.m. to 8:25 a.m. to Xian City, Shannxi Province.

Day 5:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Visit the Grand Muslim Mosque in the morning. Have lunch at the famous Xian Jiaozi Dumplings restaurant. Next, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and ancient city wall in the afternoon. Have dinner at Tang Dynasty Dinner Show; there will be dance and other performances.

Day 6:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Visit Qin Emperor’s Terra Cotta Army in morning, have lunch at a farmer’s home. Xian City tour in afternoon. Dinner as group.

Day 7:
Early morning flight from Xian to Chengdu City of Si Chuan Province. After checking into the hotel, the guide will take you to visit the ancient market place, Jin Li Street. Lunch will be as a group. The Silk Broidery Weaving factory is your afternoon stop and dinner will be at the Si Chuan Traditional Chinese Medicine University Restaurant.

Day 8:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Visit the Panda Research Center and Museum in the morning. The travel package includes picture taken for all children under 18 years old with a toddler panda. Lunch and dinner as group. Watch Sichuan Variety Show including famous Xi Chuan changing masks.

Day 9:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Morning flight to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province (or the province you adopted your child from). Lunch will be as a group, before visiting the Teng Wang Pagoda in the afternoon. Dinner as group.

Day 10:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Visit to the orphanage. Lunch and dinner as group. Stay in local hotel.

Day 11:
Breakfast before returning to Nanchang City by bus. Have lunch as group. Fly to Guangzhou in the afternoon. Stay in Shi Pu Holiday Inn.

Day 12:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Visit Fan Yu Wild Animal Zoo. Lunch and dinner as group.

Day 13:
American and Chinese buffet breakfast. Tour Liu Rong Temple, Lunch. Zhu River cruise with dinner.

Day 14:
Fly out of Guangzhou back to the United States
